“By listing resources on our website and providing access to, and training on how to use the Internet and cellular phones, we offer Veterans and other people “a hand up, not a hand out”.”
help through technology
We take advantage of many resources in order to help people, including modern technology and communications. We provide smart phones (for voice and text communications, and internet access), and computers (for resumés, writing letters, internet access, access to the social networks, and access to MyHealtheVet). Smart phones are provided through donations and community services. Currently, you can receive free smartphones through SafeLink.
To receive your free smartphone, just click on the logo above and fill out a short application. To receive free training on how to use your new smartphone, just contact us!
our vision
We are not a typical charitable organization. We represent an evolution in help for humans: Using the latest in technology, including the Internet , social networks, digital voice and data communication, we directly and efficiently help the most vulnerable of our Society: Our home-less, food insecure, alcohol dependent and traumatized veterans, our homeless and food-insecure children and our food insecure and fragile elderly (the fastest growing segment of our population).
AN EVOLUTION IN HELP FOR HUMANS
100% of our operating and administrative expenses are paid for by our for-profit businesses, donations for that purpose, and/or government grants, so that 100% of all donations go directly to those in need, and/or to those who efficiently serve those in need. All donations are tracked from the giver to the receiver, and our accounting is completely transparent.
OUR MISSION
Our Mission is to provide access to temporary aid in the form of basic needs: Nutritional food, pure water, safety, and shelter from the elements. Then, we help in the transition from temporary aid to self-sufficiency by providing access to information, training and other resources such as internet access, and voice and data communications.
We do this by connecting those who have resources (including knowledge and skills) with those that legitimately need them.
We also partner with others that have a proven track record of integrity, transparency and efficiency in helping others. Click here to view our partners webpage.
We also use CROWDFUNDING to make your donations work harder!
FOR EVERY DOLLAR YOU DONATE, WE MATCH IT.
In the unlikely event that we can't match your donation, we will refund it to you. And, you will be able to track your donation!
our HOMELESS CHILDREN
HOMELESSNESS for families with children surfaced as a significant social problem in the United States in the mid-1980s. Since then, the number of homeless families with children has steadily increased, now constituting 37% of the overall homeless population.
our traumatized VETERANS
One out of every four homeless have served in the military. Some of these are our SILENT HEROES: A group of homeless Veterans who are unable, unwilling, or don't know how to ask for help. We offer "a hand up" in the forms of information, encouragement, assistance, referrals, and access to basic resources.
our HUNGRY CHILDREN
The truth about child hunger in America is that 16.2 MILLION CHILDREN live in households that lack the means to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis. Food insecurity is harmful to all people, but it is particularly devastating to children
our alcohol dependent VETERANS
Some Veterans try to cope with their Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms by drinking heavily. Vets with PTSD have more problems with alcohol after experiencing a PTSD. Getting PTSD increases the risk that he or she will develop a drinking problem. Drinking heavily can lead to alcohol dependence.

our fragile AND HUNGRY seniors
Close to HALF of all people over 85, have Alzheimer’s disease or some other kind of dementia. Abuse, poverty, loneliness and physical ailments all add to the poor quality of life experienced by the fastest growing segment of our society. The older population is expected to grow from 35 million to 72 million by 2030.
MULTIPLYING THE POWER OF PRAYER BY USING A GLOBAL PRAYER CHAIN
We are a faith-based non-denominational charity. The reason we are non-denominational is because we partner with many different churches in or efforts to help people. Belief in a higher power is common in third world countries where the lack of resources causes a total dependence on God: For healing, well being, solutions to problems, and life extension. Belief in the power of prayer is the key. This power can be amplified when many people (and churches) unite in a common prayer. Our mission is to create a global prayer chain to increase the efficiency and efficacy of prayer.
IT ALL BEGINS AND ENDS WITH FAITH
One enters into prayer by the narrow gate of faith. It is the face of the Lord that we seek and desire; it is his Word that we want to hear and keep. Once committed to conversion, the heart learns to pray in faith. Faith is an adherence to God beyond what we feel and understand. It is possible because the Son gives us access to the Father. He can ask us to 'seek' and to 'knock', since he himself is the door and the way.
PRAYER IS A COVENANT RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR GOD
Christian prayer is a covenant relationship between God and man in Christ. It is the action of God and of man, springing forth from both the Holy Spirit and ourselves, wholly directed to the Father, in union with the human will of the Son of God made man. The Holy Spirit instructs us in the life of prayer, inspiring new expressions of our prayers: blessing, petition, intercession, thanksgiving and praise. Christian prayer is a communion of love with the Father, not only through Christ but also in him. The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought to, but the Spirit himself intercedes in ways too deep for words.
